Our herd and kennel name is representative of our two home states, Texas and South Carolina.  Lone Palmetto is a combination of "Lone Star State" and "Palmetto State."  Our initial herd consisted of NPGA Pygmies from merging our Red Rock Hills and Indian Branch Pygmies goats in 2005.  In 2007 we added our ADGA Alpines, LaManchas and Nubian goats.  2007 also brought the addition of Victoria to our family.  2008 will bring about many changes to Lone Palmetto Farms.  We are transitioning from Pygmy goats to exclusively ADGA Dairy goats.  Our focus will be on Alpines and Nubians.  We're keeping a couple of select Lamanchas for our milk production. We anticipate attaining licensing of a Grade A Dairy and to begin marking our soaps in 2008.

Our English Shepherds are registered with the United Kennel Club and the English Shepherd Club Registry.  Our dogs are a part of our farm and family.  We enjoy participating in flyball with them with the Pawmetto Pack flyball team out of Florence, SC.  We strive to breed for quality goats and dogs meeting their respective breed standards.  Our goal is to maintain the strengths and character of each breed and to make improvements in our animals when possible.
